Darien sits about 12.8 miles east of The Play & Thrive Club Naperville in DuPage County, a drive of about 24 minutes. Lessons, camps and clinics run there in the off-season and on rainy days. If a different spot suits your schedule better, a private lesson can happen at a location you choose anywhere in Chicagoland.
A 30-minute Private Lesson is $65, and you can book back-to-back blocks for longer sessions. Group clinics for hitting, pitching and fielding run 1.5 hours at $204. A membership saves $20 per lesson with no limit.
Which program suits a young player first?
For most kids, the free Benchmark is the right start. If you want a detailed opinion before committing, the Personal Assessment ($195, 1-on-1) shows where your child stands. Younger infielders often enjoy the Fielding Clinic, which covers the 6 F’s: Feet, Field, Funnel, Footwork, Fire and Follow.
What should my child bring?
Bring a glove, a bat if they hit, water, and clothes they can move in. Most of all, bring their goals. Darien kids who can say what they want to get better at give Coach Cinz a clear place to start, and they tend to stay more motivated between lessons.
