Private Baseball Lessons in Westmont, IL: where you train
Westmont is about 13.1 miles east of The Play & Thrive Club Naperville, around 28 minutes by car. The facility hosts lessons in the off-season and on rainy days. Otherwise, a private lesson can take place at a location of your choice within Chicagoland, so Westmont players have some flexibility. Virtual lessons are also available when a trip doesn’t fit the week.
What happens during a lesson?
Coach Cinz works on movements, mechanics and, most importantly, timing. He explains the reason behind each adjustment, a theme parents mention often in his 4.9-star Google reviews, so players understand what they are changing and why. He also works on the mental game: confidence, mindset and consistency at the plate or on the mound. Softball players are welcome too.
Pitchers should follow the MLB/USA Baseball Pitch Smart guidelines, and any player with a sore arm should rest it and see a doctor or athletic trainer before throwing again.
Is a private lesson better than a team practice?
They do different jobs. Team practice builds the group, while a private lesson gives one player full attention for 30 minutes. For a Westmont player stuck on one problem, such as a late swing or a wild throw to first, that focused time is often the fastest way to fix it. Many players use both.
